What does one wear to their last day at Funimation? A shirt filled with happy memories and fancifully designed graphics , of course! With bittersweet emotion, I have taken an opportunity that means my tenure at this amazing company shall come to an end. This opportunity allows me to keep a promise I made five years ago to some of my dearest friends.  Those same friends supported my move to Texas to follow my dream of giving back to this anime industry which made me the strong, sparkling, dazzling woman I am today. Without finding anime, I would not be Char. True story. When I moved out to Texas nearly five years ago, in a teary eyed confession, I promised my dearest pals I would work really hard to level up my skills so I could be good enough come back to California some day. 2013 is that year and, I honestly didn’t think it would happen so soon. Recently I was presented an AMAZING job offer in California and after much careful consideration I decided to take it. Now, I cannot say where at this time and I hope you will all be respectful enough to NOT PRY until I’m ready to talk about it. Just know it is a chance to flex some marketing muscles I don’t normally get to and a chance to try new things. It’s a chance to grow a whole lot and learn even more! Today is my last day at the wonderful company that is Funimation. I’ll miss everyone dearly and always be thankful to have been able to work on some of the best shows and with some of the BEST people in the business. Also, some of the BEST fans. I will forever be a fan and cheerleader for Funimation and hold memories of my years there close to my heart. I love you all, FUNi! The new California adventure starts next week - I’m moving on Tuesday and will be working with an Entertainment company. If you are wondering, nothing changes between me and Adam Sheehan . We are still happily together and I’ll be coming back once a month to see him and him to see me. He is the one that said I’d be smoking crack if I didn’t seize and be thankful for such a great chance. We’re big kids and support each other no matter what ♥. All that said, it still doesn’t feel real but I’m going to do my BEST! Stay tuned for more details, darling friends!   And for you, fellow Hetalians, I’m forever with you. Just more on the fan side, now. :) Trust me, the show is in the gooooood hands of a FAB-U-LOUS brand manager. She has been a great padawan and highly skilled at putting rainbows on things. :)
